The Only War 2 team has posted an update with 3 unskinned renders and a small story to go along with it.

As we were executing a routine patrol order passing the planet of Valedor, we received an emergency broadcast from the planet, they were claiming that they were in need of support from the Imperial Guard, the vessels in our patrol were mainly Dauntless Class Light Cruisers, however we did  have a few Scout Sentinel units aboard, we sent them down in shuttles  and waited for them to report back what was going on, apparantly some creatures had been attacking some of the farmers on the planet, and the local PDF units couldn't handle them, the Sentinels sent down ventured  out to scout the farmlands where the creatures had last been seen.

The First Offensive team has released an update containing 3 unskinned renders.

Ah how the time flies, especially when we have our own forums. It wasn't to long ago when we were just a backwater Mod, working off of a forum for a week then moving on, but now look where we are.

We have a very dedicated, and awesome team, I wouldn't trade any of them. Many important documents are being written up and submitted to our Coder for implantation (But you don't get to see that part). All in All much work is being done everyday, and now it's time for some Renders eh?

First up: The UNSC CB Marathon Class Heavy Cruiser. This Heavy Cruiser can take and dish out punishment. These are the Mainstay of the UNSC Fleet. With Fighter Contingents, MAC Cannon, Archer Missiles, this is the greatest UNSC Vessel ever Made. Next: The C709 Longsword Class Bomber. This bomber is a Ship killer. Armed with many missiles and even Nuclear Missiles this Bomber can take down any ship that it can find. Finally: The DD Harvest Class Destroyer. These are the smallest Ship class to carry MAC cannons. They also carry a few wings of Longsword Bombers and Raven Fighters.

The folks over at the Final Front mod have posted the second part of their Q&A:

Q: What kind of ground forces do the Asgard have?

A: The Asgard, as you all know, have no real armies to use on the battlefield. This is largely due to the simple fact that the Asgard don't risk their own lives in combat considering that it's very difficult to recover and clone a new body for a fallen asgard, let alone an army. So most of the Asgard ground forces are robotic and automated in nature. Low-altitude orbital platforms and tangible-holographic soldiers lead the Asgard forces into battle.

Q: Can we capture enemy buildings?

A: At this stage, we dont know if Alamo will let us do that, we're hoping that it's possible for the Ancient shipyards in particular.

» Patch 1.03 Released

Patch 1.03 went live yesterday.  Of course this update also includes any changes from earlier patches. You can download it here. Some of the changes include:
Quote:

  • Added new Multiplayer Land Skirmish map "Corellian Countdown"
  • Added new 43 Planet Multiplayer Campaign Map "Lines are Drawn"
  • Corrected an issue that allowed multiple turrets to be built on the same build pad.
  • Corrected an issue where AT-AT’s would stop moving when tow cabled by Rebel Speeders allowing players to stop the unit from suffering a successful tow cable attack.
  • Added an “ignore” button to the Internet lobby - Ignored player chat is not seen in any Internet dialog, and Ignored players are shown in a different color in the player list.
  • Corrected an issue where quick match would connect more than 2 players to a game resulting in a sync error.
  • Added a “test connections” button to the game lobby that allows players to test out their connections with other players in a match before starting.
  • Increased the tractor beam hard point health from 100 to 150 for Star Destroyers.
  • Increased the Garrison spawn time from 15 seconds to 25 seconds for most buildings.
